Client Kitchen

"If you can organize your kitchen, you can organize your life."  ~ Louis Parrish

Hi guys!  I wanted to share some work that's currently taking place in my client's kitchen.  We changed the wall color and a total facelift for the cabinetry.  She had her father coming for a visit and decided to take on the huge undertaking of sanding/painting the cabinets.  I think they did an amazing job!

BEFORE

We had the majority of the main floor painted in varying shades of gray last year so we knew wanted to tie everything together with the cabinetry.  Also, there are specks of gray in the existing granite counters. Gray is such a tricky color because it can be cold on it's own.  The addition of brass hardware and a new glass/stone backsplash helps to warm the tones.

AFTER

I can't wait to source out the lighting and draperies. It is quite an expansive space, so it needs many layers to bring in warmth.  She and I are thrilled with the way it is coming along!  There is nothing like seeing your ideas come to fruition to give you a little tingle.  It never gets old!

On another note, I am painting my living room tomorrow.  I decided on BM Ionic Column which is a warm cream color.  My new jute rug showed up last week and I have narrowed down the sofa options.  I can't wait to show you!

I hope you have a spectacular week!

  2. Thanks! They chose the backsplash. I suggested marble tile but I like they chose as well.
