Inspiring Interiors // Tory Burch

"Design is defined by light and shade, and appropriate lighting in enormously important."
~ Albert Hadley

When I think of the designs of Tory Burch, some words that come to mind are classic, chic, summer, and glamour. Her clothing epitomizes the luxury of  vacation which is what I am all about right now.  Her homes seem to follow these same characteristics.

The following rooms are my favorite for their carefree, colorful quality.  This trellis enclosed pool house makes me weak in the knees.  Can you imagine spending your summer days lounging here with friends and cocktails? It looks so regal yet unpretentious much like Tory herself.  Although, the thought of a cabana boy feeding me grapes did cross my mind -- but only for a second. ;-)

How perfect is this white kitchen?  It had me at the marble island not to mention the sleek green flooring and oversized pendant.  It is simple and fresh which is exactly what a kitchen should be.  This light filled space would make you want to cook, even after a full day of designing chic fashion.

This sunroom is an abundance of texture and pattern.  Wow!  There is a lot going on in this space but because the palette are colors reflected in nature, it creates a calming haven .  I am a sucker for blue & white pottery because I think it adds a rich elegance.  This room beckons you to curl up on a rainy afternoon with a good book and an iced tea.
