Photographic Journey

"Creativity comes from trust.  Trust your instincts. And never hope more than you work."
~ Rita Mae Brown

I hope you all had a lovely Mother's Day.  The girls and Andrew woke me up with breakfast in bed which was pretty special and yummy!  I wouldn't normally post a photo of me minutes after waking, however, this shot  perfectly symbolizes the happiness and gratitude I feel to have the family I have.  Time is just slipping away so briskly.  It feels as if they were born yesterday.  No matter what I accomplish in my lifetime; being a part of raising these three amazing girls will be my greatest achievement.  I couldn't be more proud or in love.

This just cracks me right up!  As I have said before, the girls are being real sports about helping me find my way around photography.  I love this photo because baby girl looks like a "Wanted" poster from the Old West.  She really wasn't as fed up as she looks.  I also love the pattern combination she chose for her outfit.  Very creative!

Our rug arrived on Saturday!  I was so thrilled and excited....for about an hour.  It was then we realized the red dye was bleeding onto our feet.  Yikes!  You can see how it has bled in the past but as it is approximately 60 years old, I would think it was over that nonsense.  I have no idea what to do.  Do I just return it and go back to square one or literally tiptoe around it?  :-(

Not sure what to say about this shot.  I am never lacking in goofy thoughts or ideas.  I just don't always know how to implement them.  We figured this one out.

Random:

So, I went to see "The Great Gatsby" on Saturday.  I have two words to describe this movie -- visually enchanting.  If you appreciate beauty (and who doesn't?), run to the theater, buy your popcorn and settle in for a creative masterpiece.  I immediately downloaded the soundtrack and am equally impressed by the unexpected edge.  There are many great songs (although you might appreciate them more after seeing the flick), however,  this is one of my faves and has stayed with me all weekend.  Enjoy!

Have the best week ever!
