The Fantastic Beauty of Sabra Lattos Photography

"You don't take a photograph, you make it." ~ Ansel Adams

Interior design is in nearly every breath I take.  I find myself constantly looking for new inspiration - always trying to grow.  Technology being as it is today, we are constantly inundated with images and ideas. It can put a girl into beauty overload which then turns into a creative rut. This is where I have found myself lately until one day last week when I sat down to my computer.  I was met with these magnificently vibrant photographs that pulled me out of said rut with one swift movement.

Last week I was introduced to a breath of creatively fresh air through Sabra Lattos Photography.  I followed Sabra's last blog, Lonely Wife Project, quite loyally because I like her quick wit and honest attitude.  She had taken a short hiatus from blogging while she was busy putting together her new biz. Sabra's style of photography has a clever, fun vibe that makes you want to pop open a bottle of bubbly and just be fabulous.    I would LOVE her to photograph my projects for my portfolio.  I am drawn to her use of color and whimsy which is exactly what I have been looking for in a photographer in Texas.  I love nothing more than coming across strong, creative women who think outside the box. I wish Sabra congratulations and the best of luck with her business!

Ok, I totally want to come to this party!  I love that she chose to dress the group in black and white which make the pops of color much more vibrant.  The photo is interesting because everyone is looking at the camera except two.  It's like they are sharing a secret that no one else at the party knows. I'm not going to say exactly what I think that secret is. ;-) Clever! Oh, and guy in the mustache- you are totally rockin' it!

As a mother I have to say, the parents of this precious angel must have been thrilled with this capture! Babies are always perfect -- even when messing their perfect diapers or perfectly crying for the third hour straight.  It's just the way it is.  But to freeze time on this amazing little smile is priceless.   They are this small for just a blip of time.  What an amazing gift for these parents.

In two words - hauntingly perfect.

Once again, fun for days!  I love the mischievous, playful quality about this shot.  It is glamorous enough to be featured in a fashion magazine but still has a quirky edge.  I would totally hang this photograph in my living room.  Is that weird because I don't know these people?  I don't really care. I would not only hang it but would give them names and make up a story for the photo.

Have the best day ever!
