Design Crush // Delphine Krakoff

"Lately, I have been thinking how comfort is perhaps the ultimate luxury."  ~ Billy Baldwin

Sorry about the crickets on this blog lately.  We have limited Internet access here and it has been a real test on my dependence of technology, which is hilariously ironic since I just posted this.  I have done surprisingly well.  :-/  My phone is still active and it appears a small daily dose of Instagram can help a girl feel connected.

I used our MANY hours in the car to catch up on my neglected design magazines. I came upon the beautifully fresh work of designer Delphine Krakoff and was instantly smitten. I had seen her fabulous rooms floating about for many years, but didn't have a face to put to these glamorous yet approachable spaces. I love when I come across a designer that puts out really exciting, high quality work. Her design work is versatile with one thing in common. They all read as a breath of fresh air - light, airy rooms with touches of unexpected whimsy.

Each space has it's own flair, style and personality.  This is only a sampling of their oh-so-chic projects.  Sit back and soak in the lovely!

Delphine started designing professionally after decorating a friend's Hampton beach house.  She then began Pamplemousse Design Inc. in 2000 where they take on projects mainly on the east coast.  I have never wanted to live in New York more than I do right now.

Although it is nearly impossible to choose a favorite room, this is pretty damn close.  I am drawn to the calm neutrals and abundance of artistic pieces.  I am lusting over everything from the large scale graphic rug to the unique gold crocodile chair.  Have you ever seen anything so cool?!

Gloriously modern Doris Day! This is penthouse swank at it's best.

Have the best day ever!
