Monday Attire // The Fall Poncho

"Autumn, the year's last loveliest smile." ~ William Cullen Bryant

When I was younger, a sure sign of autumn was the day Mom pulled out the poncho.  Not quite cold enough for a coat, but chilly enough for a sweater.  A poncho is a little girl's friend.  You were toasty warm but could still run, jump or throw out a few mean cartwheels.

Even though it is still in the upper 90's in Houston, my internal Ohio clock thinks it is time to begin pulling out the warmer pieces.  I have a comfy black poncho that I have been wearing for years. I like to pair it with skinny jeans and riding boots.  It is the perfect layering piece that doesn't bind you up when you are trying to take on the world.

[This is absolute perfection...]

[Black on black with gold jewelry. So chic!]

[This look is so insanely good.  Love it from head to toe!]
