Totally Tortoise Shell

"Design must seduce, shape, and perhaps more importantly, evoke an emotional response."
~ April Greiman

There is something about the rich tones of tortoise shell print that make me think about cozy, dignified interiors. They add just the right amount of pattern to a room.  I find all animal prints [when used sparingly] translate as neutrals with interest.  While my heart will always belong to leopard print, I am finding myself infatuated with these masculine black and brown hues.

We have so many home projects going on, I don't know where to put my attention first.  Perhaps a piece of tortoise shell goodness for the home will clear my mind.  You know what they say - when all else fails, go shopping!

[The casually elegant coffee table of designer Mark D. Sikes.]

[The table adds movement but grounds the bright colors in this gorgeous space decorated by Miles Redd.]

[My adoration began when I spotted these regal beauties recently. I would love them in my entry.]

[No words...]

[I love the collection of interesting shapes, colors and patterns in this entry.]

Have the best day ever!
