Neutral Heaven

"A home should tell your story.  What we live with says something about us."  ~ Nate Berkus

I was determined to get my hot, little hands on the new issue of Domino.  I went to several places with no luck.  So, I drove my tail across town to the only bookstore [I believe] left in Houston where I found exactly what I was looking for along with a few other goodies.  I came home, got a drink and prepared myself for the awesomeness that has been missing from my life since 2009. ;-)

I nearly fell out of my chair when I came upon Rita Hazan's drop-dead gorgeous apartment designed by Nate Berkus and Jeremiah Brent.  I love that Nate's spaces always look collected and worldly.  This loft is bathed in shades of white, black and sand with brass accents.  Could it be any better?! It is ultra-chic without looking formal. You can feel the cozy, peaceful energy.  Dear Nate and Jeremiah, when can you come decorate my home?  I am free on Friday.

The calming color palette is given interest by mixing patterns and textures throughout the space.

These black velvet and brass chairs are insane.  They bring such personality.

I am not normally a fan of the industrial stool.  However, the rich tones in the wood seat bring warmth to the simplicity of the kitchen.

I love the combination of the organic terrariums with traditional Louis XVI chairs.

The dressing room is such a cozy, feminine space.  I must find that throw!

Have a smashing day!
