Happy Weekend!

No matter what people tell you, words and ideas can change the world.
N.H. Kleinbaum, Dead Poet's Society

First, I want to mention the heartbreaking loss of comedic genius, Robin Williams.  My sympathy and prayers go out to his family and friends.  It is such a shock to know that someone whose incredible talent touched billions with laughter was suffering so terribly.  Until depression can be accepted as the terminal illness it is, people cannot truly be helped. I know you are at peace, Robin.  Thank you for the smiles....

It has begun - that whisper of fall.  Even though it will continue to hang in the 90's in Houston until October, I begin craving jeans and sweaters.  I love my distressed jeans so much, I want to buy more. I have my eye on these, these and oh, these.

I have noticed the selection of heirloom tomatoes dwindling at the grocery and decided to make this delicious salad over the weekend while I still can. Andrew is having knee surgery tomorrow and needs some healthy sun-kissed dishes to make him feel better. Tomatoes are great for torn ligaments, I hear. ;)

Thank you once again, West Elm, for providing chic accessories at an affordable price.  These salt|pepper shakers are so Kelly Wearstler-esque.  I cannot afford any Kelly goodness, so I will have the gold pair, please.

I LOVE a good blazer and J. Crew schoolboy blazers are the best for the money.  They are well made, stylish and shrunken so they don't have that "Hi, I'm a realtor" look.  When J is having a sale, these should be snapped up pronto.  I ordered this baby while on vacation and got it for 1/4 of the original price.  Not too shabby!

Have a most beautiful weekend,
Lisa
