The mind is everything. What you think, you become.
My beautiful friend Charity recently asked me to participate in The Writing Process Blog Tour. I was very honored and excited to be asked to participate. She has a fab lifestyle blog called Life After Baseball where she discusses many topics but her fashion and healthy recipes are my absolute favorite. She is effortlessly chic and forever on the cutting edge of all things healthy. I always learn something new from her when we hang. So, here is a little bit about what goes on in this head of mine pertaining to the world of blogging.
What am I currently working on/writing? I am in the process of creating a website for my interior design business, LMC Interiors. I just had a photographer come and shoot my home which was a fun|exciting experience. I am constantly changing our home, so it's nice to capture this moment. I can't wait to see the site finally come together!
How does your writing differ from others of it's genre? This is why I love blogging and follow so many different blogs. We are all different from one another. We offer different styles in voice, opinions and perceptions even within the same genre. I don't take life too seriously, so I approach my writing the same way. I love to share things that I find beautiful and inspiring just like I do over lunch with a girlfriend.
Why do I write what I do? I find writing to be a creative outlet - a place to share and discuss the gorgeous world of interiors. I am obsessed with interior design and cannot see myself doing anything else. My mind is always full of paint colors, throw pillows or lighting. I use the blog to clear some of those ideas to make room for others.
How does your writing process work? My process is probably a little disheveled but it's the only way I can do a post and my design work. I am constantly making notes of subjects I want to discuss. I begin with the photos and then usually walk away and come back later. If I am stuck with a thought or manner in which to say it, I replace the word blah until it becomes clear . I have had posts where 95% of it was blah, blah, blah. I have learned to take blogging lightly and not stress about it. A blog is a fun little corner of the Internet that is only yours to share, inspire, discuss and motivate one another. I hope I do that.
Have a most beautiful day,
