Happy Weekend!

The only real failure in life is not to be true to the best one knows.

What a week this has been!  My daughter has been coughing for five weeks now.  She was not responding to anything which was so scary.  We ended up in the emergency room to find out she has severe asthma.  These weeks have been a blur of one long, exhausting day.  She is on the slow mend while Andrew and I are breathing a sigh of relief that it is something manageable.  Isn't it the absolute worst when our kids are ill?

We are also experiencing the fr..fr..frigid cold front that has hit much of the nation.  As much as I love slight break in temperatures, 38 degrees is just too damn cold.  I think this girl has the right idea. In between wearing something similar, you can find me decorating for Christmas because we need some warm, happy up in here.  What are your plans?

Blogs ||  I loved Dina's post about mixing different lighting within the kitchen.  This is a common dilemma for homeowners.

Kids || With these sudden chilly temps, I had to make a run to Gap Kids for my little Ava.  Most everything is on sale.  I found some beyond adorable pieces like these, these, this and that to keep my baby warm.

Sales || With shopping upon us, I have been paying extra attention to sales.  Here a few that have caught my eye this week.  Madewell has extra 25% off sale styles, J. Crew is offering 25% off your total purchase and Banana has a whopping 40% off your total.  Every little bit helps, right?

Movies || I am hoping to see The Theory of Everything this weekend.  It is the story of Stephen Hawking's incredible journey of early accomplishments and love during the onset of his disease.  It looks fantastically inspirational.

Lusting || If budget wasn't a concern, I would have six of these babies in my dining room.  They are an example of the absolute perfection that is Kelly Wearstler.

Have a beautiful weekend!

  1. She does have the right idea and I need one! This cold weather is for the birds and I'm obsessing over everything at Madewell right now ;)
